Afro Dance Camp

Details: As a part of our ongoing community programme, The Maritime Centre for African Dance are continuing our popular week long Afro Dance camp in Musquodobit, NS from August 16th-20th.
The Afro Dance Camp will feature cultural dances from areas such as Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Sudan, Congo and also provide instruction on traditional instruments such as the Marimba, (xylophone), Djembe (drum) and Mbira (thumb piano).Other activities, such as storytelling around a camp fire, provide the opportunity for children to participate in a long standing traditions common in Africa. This year the camp will have 30 spots for participants ages 8-20. NO PREVIOUS DANCE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
Cost of attending camp is 375.00
