Sunrise Mercantile, in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia is an eclectic shopping and dining experience overlooking the Tatamagouche Bay just off the Sunrise Trail along Nova Scotia's Northumberland Shore. Sunrise Mercantile is a gourmet food store, fibre arts centre (featuring a variety of unique yarns and educational programs), gift boutique and Coffee/Tea/Cocoa Bar serving lunch and delicious desserts.

Along with their physical store location Sunrise Mercantile also has an on-line store featuring their wide selection of unusual and interesting foods and products that owners Dave and Suzy Belt have discovered through their extensive travels.

Our goal is to create an eclectic, one-of-a-kind "shopping mall" - both a physical storefront as well as an on-line e-business - featuring the gazillions of very unusual and interesting foods and products that we have discovered through our travels. The "big picture" is to start with a Gourmet Food Store first. Once that is operational, we will then build a Fibre Arts Centre, followed by a Gift Boutique.

Phase 1 of the storefront construction project is well under way, and we hope to open to the public no later than the 1st of March 2005. Phase 1 entails complete renovation of a single-storey, 2000-square-foot building into a Gourmet Food Store with attached German Food Store and Coffee/Tea/Cocoa Bar. Even though we are still under construction, we ARE open for business at this time. If you come in person, please excuse our mess!
