Take Exit 10 off Highway 102 to The Watson Smith & Sons Tin Smith Shop Museum found on Main St. Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia. Also known by many as the Shubenacadie Tin Shop Museum this one of a kind attraction is the only original tinsmith shop in Eastern Canada. The Tin Shop Museum presents an 1890's tin shop, a hardware store from the 1920's, a War Memorial tribute to veterans who have served our country, an artisans room, a large cross section of local handcrafts, living rooms and clothing from 100 years ago, farm relics that would have either been made or repaired at the Watson Smith & Son's, and the list continues to grow.

Operating in the early 1890's as a milk can fabrication facility and hardware store, the property was left to the townsfolk by Harry Smith. It was opened as a museum in 2000, and today features:

  • The Hardware Store - with all it's colourful 1920's clutter
  • Tin Smith Shop - with all the original equipment intact from the 1890's
  • Craft shop and gift store, staffed & stocked by local Nova Scotian artists
  • Additional exhibits - Veterans memorial, clothing, household goods, farm tools, etc.
